Hibana is a painter based on planet Earth. She has kept a fine art practice for over a decade, alongside a full-time career in electronics design research. Her work uses soft, familiar characters to sit with subjects that usually clear a room: money, belonging, betrayal, everyday struggles, and the quiet ways people watch, follow, and judge one another. She works in oil, acrylics, gouache, pastel, and more recently, ceramics.
